Handcrafted amongst the lush rainforest surrounds of our Mt Glorious Studio, this unique ceramic vase takes on the organic form and texture of a tree.
Each piece is individually hand-formed and carved using the traditional Japanese kurinuki technique — a process of hollowing from a single block of clay to reveal a vessel with deep, tactile character.
A vibrant, high-gloss green glaze is applied to the textured surface, capturing the play of rainforest light on mossy trunks and wet foliage. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece that feels both fossilised and alive — a sculptural vessel that celebrates the meeting of craftsmanship, nature, and form.
Measuring approximately 25cm high by 6cm diameter.
