Kurinuki Cup

$45.00

Each cup is individually wheel-thrown by Australian ceramic artist Venus Ganis, who brings over 40 years of wheel-throwing experience to her craft. Formed from Australian white speckle clay, the cup showcases the natural beauty and subtle texture of the material.

Once partially dried, each piece is hand-carved using the Japanese technique of kurinuki—a method that involves removing clay to shape and define the form. This process ensures that no two cups are ever the same, giving every vessel a distinct personality and tactile character.

Finished with a clear satin glaze, the surface retains the clay’s organic speckles with a soft sheen. The glaze is food-safe and durable, making the cup suitable for everyday use while celebrating the artistry of handmade ceramics.

Measuring approximately 10cm high by 6cm diameter.
